Focusing on small goals instead of one big goal can help you achieve your fitness goals faster and a little easier. We all want instant gratification and dieting is no different. As soon as we start a diet and exercise program we tend to get discouraged if we don’t see results immediately. Old habits die hard and before you know it you give up and are back to eating more of the same bad foods and not exercising anymore.
Focusing on small goals will help discipline your mind and in turn your body will begin to adjust to new routines and it will become easier to stick with your diet and exercise plan. A small goal could be as simple as not eating past a certain time before you go to bed or instead of cutting off sugars and carbs completely you can limit the amount you normally take by adjusting your portion sizes. It’s easier to cut back on something than to cut it out completely. Stay Focused!
